How long does it take to produce my order?

Most handcrafted items will be ready to ship within five business days. Need it faster? Rush Production and Expedited Shipping options are available at checkout for most items.

Note: Signature Series Wine Boxes and Bottle Openers require additional finishing time and are NOT eligible for Rush Production. Signature Series wine boxes require 3-4 weeks production time.

How does Rush Production work?

If you select Rush Production at checkout, we will move your order to the top of our production schedule. Use our Delivery Date Estimator Tool at checkout to see how Rush Production affects your delivery date.

For example, if you place your Rush Production order on Monday, we will engrave it on Tuesday and it will ship on Wednesday. Or, if you place your Rush Production order on Friday we will engrave it on Monday and ship it on Tuesday.

Shipping

How long will it take to receive my order once shipped?

Depending on the shipping address, usually 1-5 business days for shipping within the continental U.S. Please see our Delivery Date Estimator Tool (U.S. only) located at checkout for a more accurate delivery date or visit the Shipping Rates & Transit Times Chart for additional options and regions.

How much does shipping cost?

How is my order shipped within the U.S.?

FedEx Ground. You can choose to upgrade to FedEx 2-Day or FedEx Overnight during checkout if you need the shipping expedited.

How is my order shipped Internationally?

USPS (United States Postal Service). We also offer USPS expedited shipping options at checkout.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee international delivery times due to customs. You may also be responsible for additional taxes and/or duties assessed by the country’s government where the package is delivered.

Does someone need to be home to sign for the package?

Without wine: NO / For orders without wine, no one needs to be there to sign for the package. FedEx may leave the package, so we recommend shipping to a place of business or an address where someone will be available to receive it.

With wine: YES / For orders that include wine, an adult 21 years of age or older must be available to sign for the package upon delivery. We recommend shipping to a place of business or an address where someone will be available to sign for it. FedEx will not leave a package with wine under any circumstances. We also recommend contacting the recipients to let them know to expect a package that will need to be signed for by someone 21 years of age or over.

What happens if I am not home to sign for the package with wine?

FedEx will NOT leave a package with wine under any circumstances. FedEx will attempt to deliver three times before holding the package at a nearby FedEx location for a minimum of five business days. If the package is not picked up or FedEx is not contacted for other delivery arrangements, then the shipment will be returned to our winery partner. You will then be contacted to arrange reshipment - reshipping charges must be paid, by you, before the package will be re-shipped. Generally, the cost for reshipping a wine package is between $15-$30 USD.

We also recommend contacting the recipients to let them know to expect a package that will need to be signed for by someone 21 years of age or over.

Can I ship wine Internationally?

No. Unfortunately, due to customs and duties, our winery partner does not ship wine internationally.

Can I buy a box, add my own wine, then ship it?

Unfortunately, NO. Only a licensed dealer can ship wine – an individual/consumer cannot! If a shipper (FedEx, UPS, USPS) suspects that liquor is inside a package, they will confiscate it, plus it’s a felony. Please abide by the law :)

Do you ship wine in extremely hot or cold weather?

We are committed to providing our customers with the best product possible. To this end, we may hold wine shipments in times of extreme temperatures to ensure the wine does not get compromised in any way. This is a rare and often brief delay of only a few days and typically does not affect order times significantly. This does NOT affect orders that do NOT contain wine.

Can you ship wine to my state?

It depends. We CAN ship wine with a wine box to the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, NM, NY, NV, OH, OR, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WV, WI, WY.

Unfortunately, we CANNOT ship wine to the following states due to state laws and/or our winery partner’s shipping license: AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, KY, MA, MS, MT, ND, NH, NJ, OK, PA, SD, UT. Thankfully...you can still ship the box (without wine) to these locations and add your own wine once you receive the box.

Will I receive tracking info for my order once it ships?

Yes, you will receive an email with tracking info once your order is ready to ship.

Personalizing

I don’t know what to write for my inside lid messages, any suggestions?

Absolutely! Click here for some great ideas. Other things to consider would be a toast to the lovely couple, song lyrics, poems, marriage advice, movie quotes, or just heavy sarcasm ;)

Can I change the “Open On” anniversary dates?

Yes. When choosing your “Open On” years you can select “Custom Years” from the drop-down menu. Just enter a one- or two-digit anniversary year for each lid. Voila!

Can I alter one of your designs?

Yes, for an additional charge. Please email us regarding what you would like to change and we will provide a quote.

Your boxes are pretty sweet, but I think I have something else in mind. Can I get a custom box made just for me?

Sure. Email us your image, napkin sketch, or just try to tell us what you are thinking. We will get back to you with a quote to create something just for you. If you fancy yourself an artist, we can provide a template for you to design custom art for your box.

I just ordered a customizable design wine box with the couple’s information. How do I know what it will look like?

“WYSIWYG” – What you see is what you get! If the last name in the design is all capitals, then no matter how you write the couple’s last name, it too will be in capitals. If the four-digit anniversary year is requested and the whole wedding date is submitted, only the four-digit anniversary year is used. If information that is not requested is submitted, it will not be added. This simplifies the process and, hopefully, eliminates any confusion :)

What size photo do you recommend for photo boxes?

Bigger photos = Better engravings.

A high-resolution photo will result in a spectacular photo box. To get the best engraving results, submit the highest quality and largest photo file (in megabytes) you have straight from the camera. Professional engagement or wedding photos are best, but good quality images from your camera will also work well. Smaller photos can still give good results, but as image quality decreases, so does the detail in the engraving. Photos with lots of shadows or darkness tend to not engrave details, just depth of darkness.

How To Select The Perfect Pic For Your Photo Box

Can I use a Facebook photo for my photo boxes?

Not really… photos pulled from Facebook won’t work very well as these images are small and tend to lack detail. If you are in doubt, you can always email us your photo and we will let you know if it is something we can work with. Also, if you submit a photo and we don’t think it will result in a beautiful engraving, we will let you know before we move forward. You will also receive a proof of your photo box to approve before any engraving begins.

I see you show examples of your custom creations — will mine be shared?

We love to show our work and the great gifts we create with you. If it’s a gift for someone special, don’t worry; we always wait 90 days before sharing any imagery to avoid spoiling any surprises. Places we share include our website, our blog, emails, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram and occasionally through collaborations with other bloggers. If you do not want your image to be shared, please let us know.

Can I write the inside lid messages in my native language?

Yes. As long as you are able to “preview” the inside messages during the ordering process and the language symbols are present, we are able to engrave them.

Can I add emoticons to the inside lid messages?

Unfortunately, no. The font does not recognize most symbols and automatically omits them.

Selecting Wine

Why is your wine for the anniversary wine boxes offered in packages?

To make it easier for you to shop, each wine package has been assembled by the expert vintners at Mount Pleasant Estates Winery for its ability to be aged for future anniversaries.

How do I know which wine package to choose?

Each of our wine packages has an “Aging” reference. For example, if the package says “Aging: 1-5 years” it is recommended that you select “Open On” years within the next five years (i.e., Honeymoon/1/3, 1/3/5, etc.). If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Can I put my own wine in the box?

Yes, of course. We all have our own favorites or know what the couple likes. When placing your order, select the “no wine” option. Your wine box will still come with the 100% recycled crinkle kraft paper filler and foil lid seals. The foil seals arrive on backing paper and apply like a sticker after you insert your wine. The seals will be located in the top compartment of the wine box - sometimes during shipment they will work their way under the crinkle paper filler and hide, so look hard. Just a reminder, if you add your own wine, you will not be able to ship it without a license.

What size bottles fit in the box?

Our boxes fit most standard wine and champagne bottles, as well as some liquor bottles. The largest bottle that will fit snuggly in our wine box is 13” tall x 3-3/4” wide. For example, the box will hold a bottle of Dom Perignon - anything wider than that will not fit. Please keep this in mind when selecting your own wine.

If I choose my own wine, how do I know that it can age for 1, 3, 5 or 10 years?

There are no hard or fast rules here, but we recommend getting some expert advice. Go to a local winery or wine shop and explain that you would like to buy some wine that will age well for the defined period of time. They should be able to help you select some great wines for the couple’s future anniversary celebrations.

Is your website secure?

Yes. We process all payments securely through Stripe. We do not keep your payment information on file.

I am having trouble getting the website to work, what should I do?

Our website is designed to give you the best possible ordering experience. On rare occasions it can malfunction in older browsers, if your cookies are disabled, or have an inconsistent internet connection. If you are having issues, please contact us, and we can help you place your order.

Will you include a receipt with my order?

No, because we never know whom the shipment is going to, we do not include a receipt with any shipments. Your receipt will be emailed to you once your order is placed.

Will ordering your products make me the rock star of creative gift giving?
