Replace • Reuse • Recycle
Since we started handcrafting our very first products, we have been committed to replacing what we use, reusing what we can and recycling what can be. We continually work to source sustainable materials and use responsible practices to limit our impact on our environment, our community and our world.
TOGETHER WE HAVE PLANTED OVER 63,000 TREES
PLANTING TREES, CHANGING LIVES
TREES FOR THE FUTURE
Since 2010 we have committed to planting a tree for each product sold. These trees replace the wood and packing material we use and absorb the CO2 from shipping our orders.
While this is a great start, our partner Trees for the Future takes it one step further. Their mission is to educate impoverished farmers in areas of high deforestation about agroforestry and sustainable land use. This empowers those farmers with the tools they need to succeed and sustain - growing vibrant regional economies, thriving food systems, and a healthier planet.
We continually work to source sustainable materials and use responsible practices to limit our impact on our environment and our community.
The aspen wood, used in the majority of the products we make, is sourced from the the northern US and Canada. Aspen is a fast growing tree and is very prevalent and sustainable.
Our plywood is made with formaldehyde-free glue, making it non-toxic and biodegradable. It is also made from birch wood that is sustainable and responsibly harvested.
Beyond doing the best for our customers, we are committed to providing a positive, comfortable and safe work environment for our coworkers. We provide equitable pay with high-quality health insurance coverage, as well as sponsored retirement plans for our artisans. We have a flexible, family-friendly schedule that includes paid time off. We believe work should not be a four letter word.
