This wonderful collection of wine boxes allows you to personalize in a variety of ways and create a unique family keepsake. Add the couple’s name, create a monogram, add their established date and more. As always, you can change the anniversary “Open On” dates to accommodate newlyweds or those decades into their life together.
Every marriage needs to be strong to stand the test of time, and at WineforaWedding we want our wine boxes to do the same. In our continuing effort to build the best wine boxes possible, we have decided to change the construction of our joints. This joinery change, from a box joint to a blind dovetail joint, allows us to handcraft a box of great strength, design and beauty.
This joint is found in many antique furniture pieces and considering they didn't have the same high strength glues we have today, this says a lot to the durability and self-locking nature of this joint. This joint is more difficult to produce than most joints and requires precision to ensure a tight fit. While many wine crates and boxes are simply nailed together or use inferior joinery, we wanted our boxes to be superior to anything else available. When putting three expensive bottles of wine in a box, you want to be confident that it will remain intact. We did some pretty extensive crash testing on our new boxes and discovered that the wood will break before the joint fails. While we are not recommending that you try this with your box, we wanted to be confident that our wine boxes are of the highest quality construction and can be considered an heirloom piece of fine wood working.
We are extremely proud of the wine boxes we handcraft in our wood shop. While there are many wine boxes and crates out there of varying degrees of quality, we are confident that ours are not only beautiful, but built to last. We are confident you will feel and see the care put into each handcrafted WineforaWedding box.
After a four-month adoption search for a rescue dog resulted in picking out pups that were either already adopted or that Cesar Millan would strongly advise against, we found her…the sweetest, most well-mannered pup with big brown take-me-home-with-you eyes and a quiet disposition. Even after bringing her home, she was reserved and, maybe, a little too calm for a puppy. We thought she might still be under the influence having been spayed just a few days prior and started to question whether or not a puppy like this really could exist. It wasn’t until a few months later that all our questions would be answered and “Yes!” she was (and is) a dream pup!!!
Our “Missouri Mix” Millie started coming to work with us immediately and was dubbed Shop Dog by her co-workers. She watches over the workshop from her comfy bed nestled in the office, only barking when she hears an unfamiliar voice (Side Note: we apologize if you ever hear her on a Customer Service call). Once the machines stop in the workshop mid-day, she patiently waits for one of the team to come get her for lunch, where she tries to see if anyone will let her sample their meal. She’s a sucker for tennis balls, a game of fetch, and loves playing soccer. She practices her downward dog yoga pose numeroustimes a day – even greeting you with it. All in all, we’d say she’s one happy, and immensely loved, pup.
If this sounds like a fairy tale rescue, it was. We adopted Millie from 4 Paws 4 Rescue. For information about donating or adopting, check out their website or follow them on Facebook and Instagram (4Paws_4Rescue).
We’re excited to welcome the summer wedding season with a new addition to the family. Live Laugh Love is a playful little wine box that serves as a reminder to the newlyweds to: LIVE every moment as one, LAUGH together everyday, and LOVE each other beyond words.
It was just two short years ago in May, that we launched wineforawedding.com. After many years of pondering and refining our little idea, it had finally come to life. At the time, a few of us were working as creative directors at a small ad agency – helping other brands reach the world. We were eager to create one of our own. It’s been a fast and crazy ride – we’ve learned so much about running a small business, and here I thought we were just going to make some wine boxes. 2012 contained some big events for us, here are a few highlights:
MOVIN ON UP
After moving (a lot of heavy equipment) three times, I like to think we finally found a home at our current workshop. We now have 5,000 sq. ft. from which to operate wineforawedding.com and boxforabottle.com — complete with some great acoustics so we can rock Pandora and Spotify all day long without disturbing our neighbors.
We’ve added a new full-time employee – Stacie. She will be a woman of many hats, helping with organization, keeping up on social media, customer service, shipping and… well… everything. Welcome aboard Stacie!
We know sometimes you need a gift for other occasions so we created BoxforaBottle. Over the course of 2013, we will be introducing many new designs for several different occasions – we’ll be sure to keep you up to date.
Finally, we would like to thank all of our friends and customers (you’re one in the same) who have helped us along the way.
Here’s to Trees! We love them and all they provide – the wood for our boxes, shade to rest in on a hot day, and the oxygen we all breath. Through our partnership with Tree’s for the Future, Wineforawedding.com and Boxforabottle.com are proud to support the planting of over 5,000 trees this year.
Needing a unique and personal gift for a wedding!? I have found your answer. The concept behind the wine box is so smart and just perfect for a special gift. You can toast to closest friend/couple on each anniversary. They will know that you are thinking about them, each major leg of their relationship.
